LHH is partnering with a distribution organization in East Brunswick, NJ to hire a permanent Customer Service Representative. This role will begin in office until training is complete and then will transition to a hybrid role with 3 days a week from home 2 days a week in office. This is a nonexempt role with hours from 9AM to 5PM Monday through Friday. The salary range is from $50k to $65k based off years of experience in a similar role.


The qualified candidate should have at least 3 - 5 years in a similar Customer Service, Logistics, or Sales Support role.


RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Promote a positive relationship with customers to ensure future business
  • Occasionally manually enter EDI orders that didn't transfer properly
  • Keep assigned customers informed about changes and or/updates
  • Update Excel spreadsheets with order information
  • Monitor customer websites for accurate content such as pricing, product information and images
  • Provide support in establishing EDI channels for new customers
  • Answer incoming phone calls and emails from customers
  • Conduct outbound phone calls to customers to inform them of new products or educate them about the company
  • Assist with customer inquiries or issues as needed
  • Create invoices for international customers as well as obtaining shipping quotes
  • Review container layouts to ensure maximum capacity
  • Handle reporting and working within Excel to layout report information
  • Occasional travel to tradeshows may be required


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 3 - 5 years in a related role, preferably within a manufacturing and/or distribution industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically with intermediate Excel skills (Pivot tables, v look ups)
  • Experience using EDI and/or an ERP system
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong grammatical capabilities for client email communication
  • Willingness to work in depth with a team
  • Ability to work over time during busy season (summer time typically)
