  • Position located in either Overland Park, KS or Bellevue, WA.

  • Not a remote role. This is a hybrid role that requires at least 3 days in office.


This position will be a key part of the T-Mobile BTS (Beyond The Smartphone) Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team responsible for activation forecasting, planning, analyzing, and reporting for all BTS products. This individual will provide financial and KPI guidance to leadership on the trends and drivers behind the results and present reports on findings.


As a part of their daily activities, this individual will be required to interface with diverse groups within T-Mobile. This includes, but not limited to, Accounting, Marketing, Field Operations, as well as other peer groups within FP&A. Continuing and enhancing current modeling and forecasting processes and procedures will be a key element in the role. The ideal candidate will possess skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and have demonstrated the ability to create and present the status of the business in practical ways. The ideal candidate will also have a record of demonstrated success in a fast paced and flexible environment and ability to work well across organizations. Strong demonstrated modeling and forecasting skills are required.


Responsibilities:



  • Leads the development of the annual plan, monthly forecasts, and weekly outlooks

  • Works closely with business partners to socialize results, present recommendations, and influence strategy to achieve business targets.

  • Pull data from SQL based systems to create insights and key callouts for data analysis

  • Use statistical and financial modeling techniques to analyze results and identify variances and underlying causes, opportunities, and risks. Provide actionable insights around trends and financial performance. Present findings to Senior Management, including suggestions for course correction.

  • Creates and maintains complex financial models using key performance indicators to forecast future business performance - including advanced financial and statistical techniques.

  • Measure key performance indicators and benchmarking results across accounts, markets, business units, and channels and communicate results to leadership via dashboards and reports

  • Analyzes and explains monthly variances versus forecast outputs.

  • Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, trended future requirements and operating forecasts

  • Proactively seeks out enhanced data sets and continuous improvement in modeling, partnership, and general business acumen


Qualifications:



  • 7+ years' experience in a forecasting and financial analysis role including KPI management and variance analysis

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related area

  • Experience building and managing complex models; highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint

  • Proficiency in data mining, analytics software and dashboard development (MS SQL Server, COGNOS/TM1, Teradata, Power BI, Tableau, Advanced MS Excel/PowerPivot)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience of working in an ambiguous, fast paced, growing and ever-changing environment, requiring flexibility and creativity to meet the needs of the business

  • Ability to work independently and with limited supervision, manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Superior communication, presentation, and organization skills; ability to communicate complex analytical findings in a clear and concise manner

  • Strong ability to see the "big picture" and experienced with improving processes

  • Demonstrated ability to be creative and "think out of the box" to create win-win solutions

  • Proven record of being a strong team player that enables teams to be successful.


Desired Qualifications:



  • Wireless Telecom experience preferred

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • T-Mobile requires all employees in this position to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, unless precluded from doing so by applicable law. Washington Pay Range: $106,800 - $144,500



  • The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.

  • At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives. And since we are ALL owners, EVERY employee at T-Mobile is eligible for an Annual Stock Grant.
