To accelerate revenue growth within our existing customer base, the Customer Growth and Revenue team is seeking an experienced and strategic-minded senior manager. In this role, you will define, develop, and manage marketing programs with the goal of monetizing the satisfaction, loyalty, and growth of our upmarket customers. The Marketing Operations & Planning Manager will be responsible for the management and oversight of the Marketing budgeting systems and procurement team as well as periodic planning and forecasting processes with the Marketing team globally. The Marketing Operations & Planning Manager will partner closely with Marketing FP&A and will be accountable for coordinating deliverables required for monthly and quarterly close. This person will manage a team of 5 individuals responsible for marketing budget planning and procurement operations. The Marketing Operations & Planning Manager will also partner closely with the Analytics team to coordinate Marketing KPI forecasting exercises. Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities Train and inform the marketing leadership team and other stakeholders as necessary of changes to the end-to-end procurement and budget management process. Manage & upskill a team of analysts responsible for: Managing the daily operations for the global marketing budget including, PO creation, contract processing, invoice management, expenses, variance reporting, etc. Ensuring our Marketing budgeting system (Allocadia) is up to date and reflecting an accurate in-quarter forecast. Managing monthly and quarterly budget and spend planning exercises across all teams in marketing. Working with budget owners to highlight potential variances before they occur to mitigate any unforeseen variances at a high level. Opening/managing POs and subsequent vendors for all SOWs across the Global Marketing function Maintaining the vendor database for Marketing & Marketing Systems, adding, and removing vendors as necessary. Confirm invoices spend and taxability are categorized accurately for reporting. Reconciling all transactions; partner with finance to ensure accurate accrual and close process. Owning all new vendor setup requests in partnership with accounts payable. Working with Legal and Procurement to ensure we have copies of the fully executed MSA's, contracts, W-9's, etc. to ensure compliance with the financial system processes. Partner closely with Finance counterparts to: Produce an Annual Operating Plan: Lead the bottoms up demand gen planning exercise with channel and segment leaders to deliver the Annual operating plan by consolidating resources such as templates, historical spend efficiency analyses, industry benchmarks, etc. Design effective budgeting policies and procedures and manage their implementation and end user training. Establish standards and procedures to guide the administration of organizational budgeting in marketing that support new financial systems and processes. Partner with finance, procurement & IT to further develop Procure to Pay system requirements, ERP system requirements, marketing accrual process and financial reporting tools. Partner closely with Analytics counterparts to: Plan and execute the quarterly forecasting process Generate forecasting models that are comprehensive of all required forecasting metrics Advocate on behalf of the Marketing team to ensure models are user-friendly and incorporate changes in Marketing business model, KPIs, or attribution frameworks Enable Marketing team toward completion of forecasting process in a timely manner Develop a reporting mechanism to collect updated forecasts in-period for quarter end projections Report pre-quarter and in-quarter forecast outcomes and variances to leaders & stakeholders Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Experience managing marketing budgets and strategic planning, preferably at a fast-growing, matrixed tech company. Strong interpersonal skills, including establishing credibility, trust, and building influential relationships with Marketing, Finance, and Analytics partners. Comfort
