* TITLE: Online Student Support Aide * QUALIFICATIONS: * Must be able to pass the Paraprofessional Praxis or have 32 core college credits. * Knowledge and skill in the teaching and use of math and reading including the ability to pronounce vowels, consonants, phrases, and words in a phonetically correct manner. * Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed. * Ability to work with staff, students, and the public. * Computer knowledge and experience with word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, etc. * Previous experience preferred, but not mandatory. * Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. * REPORTS TO: Online Academy Administrator. * JOB GOALS: To support the delivery of School District 91's written, taught, tested and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement. * ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Support students who are working online during remote or blended instruction models. * Provide minor tech support including resetting passwords and assisting students as they navigate Learning Management Systems and submit assignments. * Facilitate communication between teachers and parents. * Answer questions for students and parents during evening hours. * Other duties as assigned that can be completed remotely and support students who are working remotely. * Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality. * Has regular and predictable attendance. * OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Performs all other duties as assigned. * TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Hours of employment: This is a 19.75 hours per week job. Hours may be adjusted by mutual agreement between employee and online school Principal. Wages will be in accordance with the Classified Salary Schedule as a Grade 4 - $13.33 or $14.00 per hour depending on experience. This is an "at will" position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time or for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The "employment at will" policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and expressly approved by the Board of Trustees of District 91. VIII. EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Building Administrator in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on the evaluation of classified personnel. This position has been given an overall physical classification of light duty.
