ABOUT THE JOB:
The Maintenance Team Leader is an advanced facility maintenance team member who performs and/or supports all aspects of troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance in the distribution center environment.
PREFERRED qualifications for this position include: HVAC and welding certifications.
Execute scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on conveyor system and material handling equipment; refrigeration systems; plumbing; building lighting; dock doors; air systems; racking.
Use PLC and web-based programs to analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot malfunctions; research parts, tools, and technology.
Utilize the McLane Maintenance Connection database.
Develop approved system modifications and procure resources needed to complete such projects; weld and fabricate as required.
Train lower-grade mechanics and supervise the Maintenance team when directed by management.
This position has additional duties; special projects may be assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Relevant technical degree or professional training.
5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
4 years of conveyor and automatic sortation maintenance experience.
Working experience with 480V/3-phase industrial equipment and controls.
Functional and equipment knowledge of PLC and computerized controlled automation systems.
Working knowledge of OSHA requirements.
Able to read and understand blueprints and CAD documents.
Basic computer skills with experience using a maintenance database (e.g., MP2, DataStream7i, Maintenance Connection).
