The Verizon Global Services organization centralizes key functions that unlock our ability to enhance and strategically deliver services for all our business groups and centers of excellence. It’s bringing a holistic approach to Verizon’s partner ecosystem to ensure seamless and efficient business processes.

The Strategy and Transformation team holds a key role in defining Verizon Global Services strategy, enabling cross-functional transformation and service delivery, while supporting the V Team’s ability to adapt. We are focused on seamless end-to-end customer and employee experiences. We challenge ourselves to solve top-of mind strategic questions, collaborating with leadership and experts across the organization. We are responsible for challenging the status quo, looking beyond the horizon, and making the future real.

  • Centralizing the organization of processes, methods, and tools (e.g., Shibumi) to analyze and collectively execute current or proposed projects. This analysis is based on numerous key characteristics in order to meet the business's main strategic cost model objectives all while understanding constraints and plans to overcome said constraints.
  • Overseeing the portfolio of projects to ensure these are being executed at full potential, and to remediate when necessary.
  • Ensuring project owners deliver on their commitments and that the overall portfolio delivers on both the operational metrics as well as the financial benefits.
  • Partnering closely with V-teamers across the company, specifically with Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), to ensure transformational initiatives make progress to accelerate our competitive advantage and champion our new operating model(s).
  • Measuring ROI and create business cases for new models to enable strategy alignment and implementation.
  • Ensuring alignment and communication across divisions, including variance reporting, budget risks and opportunities, timing, and savings calendarization.
  • Prioritizing key business processes that are financial pain points and design initiatives that will help resolve the issues.
  • Forecasting business performance based on a combination of historical data and evolving product, program, and marketplace drivers.
  • Developing and implementing plans to communicate and explain project portfolio methodologies (e.g., benefit realization).
  • Ensuring the portfolio of projects aligns with VGS’ overall strategy and maximizes total value across the corporation.
  • Executing the right set of projects that will provide optimal business value.
  • Driving the development of the new processes, technologies, and operational models across VGS.
  • Leading cross functional projects and ensure post-implementation reviews to ensure cost saving success.
  • Building business relationships to collaborate on current-state assessments, evaluate key pain points, and discover opportunities to deliver value to the company.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master’s degree or MBA.
  • Ten or more years work experience in technology and relevant industries; multiple-industry perspectives are a plus.
  • Two or more years of experience in a top-tier management consulting firm.
  • Experience in Lean Six Sigma or other problem solving methodology.
  • Experience in development and measurements of KPIs.
  • Experience in facilitation, change management, and problem solving.
  • Ability to recognize patterns and trends in large data sets and use numerical information to develop business strategies.
  • Strong organization, critical thinking, problem solving, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of financial and quantitative analysis, forecasting, and budgeting, key success factors, and performance indicators.
  • Ability to manage complex programs and drive cross-functional teams to meet business objectives and influence co-workers while fostering strong working relationships.
