- Works closely with IT Audit Manager and/or Senior Manager to determine project plan, timeline, and expected deliverable for each assigned audit or project.
- Owns audit or project engagements. Responsible for overseeing the IT audit staff on engagements and interacting with audit customers during planning, fieldwork and testing, reporting, and follow-up.
- Manages the performance of audits and projects, including the supervision of audit staff in conducting interviews, reviewing documents, composing summary memos, and preparing workpapers.
- Overall responsibility for identifying and defining audit issues, developing criteria, reviewing, and analyzing evidence, and documenting client processes and procedures.
- Manages the audit staff in the identification, development, and documentation of audit issues and recommendations.
- Communicates the results of audit and consulting projects via written reports and oral presentations to management.
- Develops and maintains productive client, staff, and management relationships through individual contacts and group meetings.
- Pursues professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and professional association memberships, and shares information gained with co-workers.
- Represents IT Audit on organizational project teams and at meetings with external organizations.
- Accountable for follow-up on outstanding audit issues to ensure that corrective actions are implemented and working as planned.
- Responsible for providing major input during the Annual Audit Plan and Risk Assessment process.
- Responsible for assisting in the overall resource planning for the department.
- Three years of work experience in a technology organization, Internal Auditing, business analysis, or program evaluation.
- Proven leadership skills, ability to lead a team of assigned staff on large or complex audits or projects and provide training and mentoring to less experienced auditors.
- Considerable demonstrated skills in effective verbal and written communications; including active listening skills and skill in drafting and presenting issues, observations, and recommendations.
- Skill in collecting and analyzing complex data, identifying risks and impacts, and drawing logical conclusions.
- Proficient at test work, workpaper organization, and understanding of internal control processes and cross-functional business risk identification.
- Ability to manage project to scope and objectives, oversee a diverse team, and be accountable for overall project deliverable and execution.
- Extensive skill in planning and project management, and in maintaining composure under pressure while meeting multiple deadlines.
- Technical understanding of business process internal controls.
- Extensive knowledge in applying internal auditing principles and practices, technology auditing, management principles, and preferred business practices. Considerable knowledge of the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and the Code of Ethics developed by the Institute of Internal Auditors.
- Solid knowledge of management information systems terminology, concepts, and practices.
- Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers, staff, and external consultants. Ability to work effectively in a professional team environment.
- Assists with determining department goals and interfacing with senior management on the services and roles of Internal Audit.
- Ability to align with business functional units and develop business partner relationships.
- Ability to utilize departmental audit and data analytic systems to manage projects, work papers, analyze data, draft, and finalize reports, and track issue follow up.
- This is a hybrid position which will be located in one of three T-Mobile office locations, in Frisco, TX , Overland Park, KS or Bellevue, WA. The candidate will be expected to spend about half of their time working in the office and the other half working from home.
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- High School Diploma or GED
- T-Mobile requires all employees in this position to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to starting work, unless precluded from doing so by applicable law. The CDC currently defines "fully vaccinated" as two weeks after the second dose for Pfizer and Moderna, and two weeks after the single dose of Johnson & Johnson.
