Job Title:
Facilities Associate Department: FTS

Reports to:
Manager of Facilities and Security

FLSA Status
: Non-Exempt

Position Summary:
This position will be part of a team in charge of the day-to-day workings of the Facilities department. The employee will need to be an energetic, hands-on individual who has experience in a fast-paced environment. Priorities can change quickly, and this individual must adapt, reassess, and quickly solve issues as they arise. Individual needs to perform maintenance on existing locations to provide for a safe clean work environment and must follow a set schedule provided by the managers to complete routine visits to all locations. Determine the priority of tickets and get assistance if needed to complete the task, and update help desk tickets upon completion of all tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • New store construction:

    • Assist in ongoing construction of new locations.

    • Will be part of a team to ensure all ongoing construction is compliance with current ADA building standards.

    • Ensure that the opening of new locations goes seamlessly with the assistance of all FTS employees.

  • Be available to the FTS Manager or Management team upon request.

  • Keep detailed logs of all procedures used for fixing a problem to update the internal help desk ticket. This will help prevent unnecessary down time and repeating the same thing repeatedly.

  • Respond to service request regarding air-conditioning systems, general electrical, general plumbing, water heaters, carpentry, painting, and other required maintenance items.

  • Understand the proper use of equipment, chemicals, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Ensure that unsafe conditions are corrected in a timely manner.

  • Maintain and manage all equipment in store and warehouse

  • Forklift certified.

  • Work Manage confidential information.

  • Regular and consistent attendance.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements for Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Must have 2+ years demonstrated successful experience in all aspects of building maintenance.

  • Must have a clean driving record and be able to travel as needed to complete various facility projects.

  • Must be available on call, upon request to respond and assist in any emergency's that arise.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

  • Candidate will be resourceful and can get the job done on time.

  • Prefer candidates who can readily use e-mail and (for Reno and Utah locations) possess an understanding of computer systems (hardware and software) including networks and system backup execution.

  • Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.

  • OSHA Certifications a plus.

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work; ability to interact with a variety of individuals from socio-economic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds in sensitive or difficult situations.

Requires repetitive movement, sitting, writing letters and memos, face-to-face discussions with individuals or teams, use of electronic mail, telephone conversations, contact with others (face-to-face, by telephone, or otherwise). Requires repeating the same physical activities or mental activities over and over; requires being exact or highly accurate, requires meeting strict deadlines. Requires work with external providers, customers or the public, work with others in a group or team, coordinating or leading others in accomplishing work activities. Requires travel to multiple sites and locations.

Work Environment:

Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. Job tasks are performed in close physical proximity to other people. Travel to multiple sites.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; on occasion, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able lift 50lbs, pulling, pushing, and moving items.
