House Manager

Chileda's mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals with cognitive and behavior challenges. Chileda's goal is to help students increase their appropriate social behaviors and develop independent living skills, through an enriched learning environment and individualized behavior programming. We are now accepting applications for a House Manager.

Summary:

Chileda's campus consists of four homes where the students live and learn to become more independent in all facets of life. House Managers manage and supervise their assigned house to ensure meaningful and viable programming is being implemented which includes recreational activities, skill development on treatment and IEP plans, including proper implementation of all communication, behavioral and living skills training. House Managers will evaluate staff performance and all operations within the home.

Status Info:

This is a Full-time role that works primarily 2nd shift hours and comes with Chileda's generous benefits plan. Primarily Monday through Friday with one weekend per month. 10 paid holidays off!

Skills: Must be able to demonstrate behavioral skills and judgement conducive to role modeling appropriate skills for students. Need to have the ability to lead a diverse group of employees, provide feedback to them and guide them.

Job Duties Include:

  • Ensure Assistant House Managers, Lead Direct Support Professionals, and Direct Support Professionals are completing their assigned duties by providing positive and corrective feedback on a regular basis.
  • Ensure all staff working with students are implementing the Positive Behavior Support Plans as written.
  • Cover breaks for employees as needed.
  • Complete traineeship, six month, and annual employee performance evaluations for assigned staff by due date.

Education Requirements:Prefer a Bachelor's degree in a human services field or at least 3 years of supervisory experience working with people with developmental disabilities in licensed care.
