Great drivers are crucial to the US Foods® team – the final link in our distribution chain, and one of many important faces of our organization. On and off the road, our drivers strive for integrity and reliability, while building trusting relationships with our customers.
We’re looking for team members who excel in the following areas:
Safety
- Operate all equipment in a manner that protects your safety and the safety of others
- Complete the US Foods Driver Onboarding Program, and comply with all DOT regulations
- Register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse
- Perform pre- and post-route safety inspections on tractor trailer, and complete related paperwork
Teamwork
- Arrive for work on time and be ready to collaborate with other team members
- Work with leaders, team members and customers to solve problems and challenges during shifts
- Support the training and onboarding of new team members
Customer Focus
- Check all customer orders to ensure accurate delivery, and respectfully correct any discrepancies
- Meet scheduled customer delivery times by maintaining expected productivity rates
- Model our Cultural Beliefs as our public face, providing exceptional service to inspire customer loyalty
Qualifications you need to have:
- Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
- Minimum of six months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
- Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.
