Lead control management

About this role :

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Control Management Officer - Analytics & Insights for Corporate Risk. This role will lead the strategic analysis, consolidation, summary, and presentation of results to deliver meaningful insights and actionable information to key business leaders in Corporate Risk to help drive decisions and change, to meet business objectives and reduce risk.

In this role, you will :

• Provide proactive leadership execution by staying appraised of all assigned initiatives, and providing analytic outputs in compelling graphical, numerical, and other narrative forms that will allow informed, data-driven decisions to meet business objectives and reduce risk.


• Lead the strategic analysis, consolidation, summary, and presentation of results to deliver meaningful insights and actionable information to key business leaders in Corporate Risk to help drive decisions and change, across the enterprise.


• Partner with Business Control Leaders, Domain, Businesses, and Risk Program Leaders in coordinating & developing report requirements and routines that result in high quality reporting / analytics & insight outputs.


• Facilitate Internal Risk Reviews w / Business Control Leaders, Risk Program and Domain Leads


• Develop & Maintain the Risk Program Activities Calendar


• Provide holistic & Integrated Risk Storytelling


• Mentor and lead junior resources. Assign, Manage and Track activities of junior or offshore team members


• Develop and implement risk monitoring and risk reporting processes and controls


• Develop high-quality, validated, and trusted risk reports that ensures an accurate depiction of risk, risk trends and change-in-risk states.


• Develop & Standardize Risk Reporting Templates (Risk Reports, Risk Profiles, Points of View, Monitoring Plans).


• Build automated data quality processes and validation routines to reduce manual validation efforts.


• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the lines of businesses, Central Control, Regulator Relations, Audit, Operational Risk and Compliance peers.

Required Qualifications, US :

5+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following : work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications :

• Risk management experience - risk & controls, issue management and risk assessments


• Ability to synthesize complex analytical findings into executive level communications


• Critical / High attention to reporting / data accuracy


• Effectively drive results, provide feedback / direction, manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment


• Experience in data quality controls and the development and documentation of processes and procedures


• Experience with assessing risk exposure across adequacy of policies, procedures, processes, systems, c0ompliance and operational controls in a significantly large and complex organization.


• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy


• Holistic & Integrated Risk Storytelling experience and expertise


• Risk Management Certifications


• Data / SOR Analysis and interpretation


• Advanced knowledge in one or more analytics tools - Excel, Tableau, Microsoft SSRS, SAS, MicroStrategy, PowerBI


• Experience with SQL or other querying languages, scripting languages, & big data technologies
