SAS / SQL Consultant II (BlueCross BlueShield of TN, Chattanooga, TN): SAS/SQL Consultant II (BlueCross BlueShield of TN, Chattanooga, TN): Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics field or equiv yrs experience; 5 years of SAS programming experience including Base SAS, SQL, macros, and multi-processing techniques; 2 years relational database experience, including DB2, SQLServer, Teradata, & Oracle; 2 years efficiently processing large databases & extracting from DB2, SQLServer, Teradata, & Oracle; 2 years experience with predictive modeling results; 2 years experience working with Healthcare Quality Models incl HEDIS measures & CMS Stars measures; 2 years experience working with Healthcare claims coding incl ICD10, CPT4, NDC, & revenue codes; proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint); excellent oral & written communication skills; strong interpersonal and organizational skills; must be team player, organized & have the ability to handle multiple projects; ability to work independently with minimal supervision or function in a team environment sharing responsibility, roles, & accountability; ability to build & maintain complex & efficient SAS routines, using SQL, macros, & multi-processing techniques; knowledge of systems analysis, design, & project management techniques; exceptional analytic, problem-solving, & critical thinking skills; ability to work in a rapid, agile project style environment. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, will accept 1 year of technical experience for each year of requested college education in addition to the experience requirements listed above.
