Leading with innovation, Nordson EFD holds proprietary material and "0 waste" patents and technology to micro-dispense materials Job SummaryThe Technical Support Engineer is responsible for assuring that Nordson EFD customers receive outstanding, knowledgeable technical support on the operation of all EFD products. This includes responding to customer inquiries for technical data, requests for customers' corrective actions, and providing product training to the worldwide EFD sales force.Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesCustomer SupportCommunicates with customers, international sales groups, R and marketing regarding technical and product issuesTravels to support customers and Sales as needed. Supports worldwide sales groups in all technical areas such as troubleshooting customer process problems and recommending solutions.Sales SupportAttends key account meetings, trade shows, and other pertinent meetings as requested to help provide technical knowledge as needed.Aids with providing product training to all sales groupsAssists with preparing documents and/or performing customer dispensing application trialsCorrective Action ProcessWorks closely with cross-functional teams in resolution of quality or manufacturing issues effecting customersHelps coordinate customer problem resolution with engineering, customer service, sales, R, Quality Assurance and other personnel.Assists in the analysis of reports of technical problems to help determine trends affecting future design, production, service, and maintenance processes, for the purpose of determining modifications to eliminate future problems.Member of Material Review Board representing the customerProduct DevelopmentHelps review technical content of product manuals, technical support information and sales brochures.Assists with development and implementation of product training tools.Participates in New Product Development process by providing insight on real world product usage by customers.Education and Experience RequirementsBS in Engineering or related field or equivalent related work experience.Entry level, relevant experience with an aptitude to quickly develop technical sales in a application support role/environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer service, action-orientation required.Must possess strong organizational skills, and a professional demeanor with a high energy level and the ability to adapt effectively in a dynamic changing environmentMust possess above average problem solving skillsProficiency in MS Office applications required.Preferred Skills and AbilitiesSelf StarterHigh EnergyWorking Conditions and Physical DemandsOffice and laboratory environments.
