Global Merchant & Network Services (GMNS) brings together American Express' Merchant-and Network-related businesses including Global Merchant Services, Global Network Services, and Strategic Partnerships. Global Merchant Services is responsible for maintaining the relationships with the millions of Merchants, Global, National and Regional, that accept American Express, as well as through our third party acquirers and aggregator partners. Our goal is to be an indispensable payments partner to our Merchants: simultaneously delivering differentiated products and services and driving revenue growth for both Merchants and American Express.

What type of Strategy work can you expect to do within GMNS at American Express?

  • Own project workstreams end-to-end and partner with team on scoping, problem structuring, analysis, research, and presentations
  • Lead complex analyses and rigorous research to develop insights and solutions for GMNS' most critical strategic priorities
  • Engage business partners to develop implementable solutions and present recommendations to senior leaders
  • Build a strong network and a deeper understanding of American Express' Merchant and Network business through project work and events with senior leaders

Skills/Experience

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and quantitative proficiency; intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to motivate change, impact, and be adaptable to a wide range of situations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to collaborate effectively in a team
  • Strong professional presence; effective communication and presentation skills
  • A track record of results and desire for continual improvement

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a full-time MBA or equivalent program
  • Students must have a graduation date between December 2023 and June 2024

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
