The Consumer Banking team, within the Global Consumer Services Group (GCSG) at American Express, was created to meet the financial services needs of our customers and build upon a broader Membership promise. This new and growing team will drive AXP's innovation in banking services, identifying customer needs and innovating around new digital banking products that deliver differentiated value. As a growing team, we are looking for colleagues who enjoy building from the ground up, have a strong external experience and will roll up their sleeves to accomplish common goals.


The U.S. Insurance team is directly responsible for leading and crafting the strategic vision for the protection and insurance benefits across the GCSG, focused on continuous product innovation, improving the customer experience, launching and refreshing benefits in line with Card Member demand, and effectively managing our P&L.


The Manager/Sr. Manager, Insurance & Protections Product team, is responsible for developing our new product pipeline inclusive of product strategy, management, and development of new insurance products, working in partnership with the greater consumer banking team. In addition to managing the pilot launch for our new product currently in development and associated workstreams, this person will be responsible for partner management, analysis and collaboration on test and learn strategy.


Ideal candidate will be strategic with strong project management skills, external partner experience, excellent collaboration skills and influence management abilities:


Key Responsibilities:




  • Effectively manage development and completion of new product strategy development and related workstreams.




  • Partner closely with cross functional teams including Compliance, Privacy and Legal to develop successful products.




  • Collaborate with Marketing partners to develop go-to market strategy for new product launches and marketing claim development.




  • Coordinate with an external partner, driving teamwork, transparency and alignment to product vision and goals.




  • Optimize the end-to-end customer experience across all touchpoints.




  • Develop new product point of arrival strategy, lead analytics and test and learn strategy.




Qualifications




  • Strategic and analytical with problem solving skills that is adept at operating in white space




  • Partner Management or BD experience




  • Interpersonal, leadership and influencing skills with the ability to work with partners across different functions and connect with all levels of employees




  • Prior experience leading cross-functional teams




  • Excellent written and oral communication skills




  • Positive "roll-up your sleeves" approach and ability to work with 'start-up' mentality




  • Prior experience in the home lending industry




  • Flexibility to adapt as organization grows and evolves




Qualifications


Salary Range: $80,000 to $155,000 annually bonus benefits
