VP, Data Governance Officer
Enterprise Services & Public Affairs (ESPA) mission is to enhance how our stakeholders perceive and experience Citi.
The Chief Administrative Office Team is a nimble team within ESPA that covers a broad scope of responsibilities in a dynamic and fast-moving environment. Within Citi the team works with a wide range of internal partners, including senior leadership, and coordinates closely with other members of the ESPA organization as well as stakeholder teams around the world. Role Description Overview:
The ESPA Data Governance Officer - Vice President will partner with Citigroup's Enterprise Chief Data Office (ECDO) and ESPA businesses to build a data management framework, applicable procedures, controls, and understanding ESPA's owned data.
Responsibilities will include management and oversight to ensure that ESPA fulfills the alignment of data and applicable processes within the framework strategy through understanding data elements process, designing, and driving adoption of data process into the organization.
The individual will report to ESPA Data Governance Liaison, based in New York City.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage ESPA's Data strategy and architecture in adherence to Citi's Data Governance Program.
- Provide strong subject matter expertise in understanding technology applications and the data that they contain.
- Develop procedural documents and an implementation process to ensure proper governance and controls for Data Governance.
- Support management with the preparation of materials to report on program implementation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 7+ years relevant experience in business management experience in a financial or technology organization, with particular focus in data and project management.
- Strong data and technological knowledge, covering topics such data governance.
- Proven ability to drive results with attention to detail and meet tight deadlines.
- Demonstrate ability to assess complex problems and identify potential solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal executive level communication skills.
- Ability to influence without authority, working across business lines, collaborating with colleagues at all levels, with a commitment to partnership.
- Work independently as a member of a high-performing team, with the ability to take initiative in proposing and implementing solutions.
- Expertise in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
