1st Class Pipefitter

Description:

As a marine pipefitter, you are responsible for the quality, design, and build of pipes and systems used onboard vessels for water purposes. You lay out, assemble, install, fabricate, repair, and maintain pipe systems and supports. MUST BE ABLE to cut, bend, weld, braze, grind, and burn pipes to fit and connect for shipboard installation. Will be asked to install, remove, inspect, and tag out piping systems, air and hydrostatically test tanks and voids.

Knowledge of Marine piping, fitting processes and procedures, ship terminology.

Be able to read and understand spool sheets for application.

MUST BE ABLE to cut, bend, weld, braze, grind, and burn pipes to fit and connect for shipboard installation.

Knowledge of standard AND Metric tools and measurements (will be tested on this)
