Responsibilities:


  • Manages day-to-day activities of the procurement staff as well as conducts procurements, awards and administers subcontracts and purchase orders for project and indirect procurement.
  • Reviews the procurement staff’s work product for accuracy and compliance to company and client requirements.
  • Mentors / trains the procurement staff to advance the staff’s knowledge and career development.
  • Provides performance reviews and feedback of the procurement staff.
  • Accountable to the management team to ensure the procurement team commitments are met.
  • Interface with the project teams and stakeholders to support the successful completion of the project and procurement requirements.
  • Ensures that all procurement is in compliance with government regulations, contractual terms (if applicable), company policies and procedures.
  • Manage workloads for multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Assists project management staff in planning for required procurement support in proposals and contracts.
  • Serves as a resource to the management team and procurement staff on procurement, subcontracts, and related issues.
  • Confers with appropriate staff on issues of subcontractor performance, vendor delivery, approval and payments of vendor invoices.

Minimum Qualifications


Bachelor's degree. 7 years of related experience with 2 years staff management experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.

Skills and Abilities


Ability to interact with senior leadership. Excellent verbal and written skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to interact with all levels of staff as well as outside clients and vendors. Requires the ability to oversee concurrent complex projects involving detail coordination under tight time schedules. Excellent knowledge of contract and procurement principles, techniques, and practices, as well as good business practices.

Preferred Qualifications


Strong preference for experience in the Industrial Engineering and Construction industry.

Water/Wastewater experience helpful.
