Due to growth and customer demand, we are currently recruiting for a customer support lab engineer for our field services lab team in Horsham PA.

How You'll Help Us Connect the World: As an ANS Customer Support Application Test Engineer for Active and Passive Optical Components and Active and Passive RF Components, you would be responsible for the testing and replication activities in New Products, concurrent deployments, and continuing issue replication efforts. Perform regular audits of customer outcomes, support activities, product development/launches, quality improvements, and other operations. Work on critical and complicated cases along with Customers, Field Engineering, Product Management team. We will look to you for on demand coaching, mentoring and educating of support team and customers to support technology, architecture, and product optimization. Independently take ownership of problems and steer/drive to resolution. Work closely with other managers and engineers, Quality, PLM and Engineering teams. Report complex technical issues up to higher management and executives. Find opportunities for new process and work improvement in manufacturing, engineering, quality and support. Represent our team in meetings with both internal and external customers. Suggest areas where team requires improvement on technical and soft skills. More specific test engineering responsibilities include:
  • Work as a point of contact for all test-related activities for worldwide customer and new product engineering support
  • Work as a full member of the Field Services and Product Management Teams in ANS
  • Generate detailed test plans and timelines based on product application, Commscope Performance Specifications and customer requirements. Approve final test plans and execution schedules
  • Ensure that all test resources (Test Technicians & Equipment) are available on time. Collaborate with the Test Lab Manager to predict, plan and implement test activities. Timely delivery of test reports according to project timeline.
  • Follow-up and support the internal and external customers
  • Review and approve test reports.
  • Handle multiple test projects simultaneously and provide planning support to involved parties
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
  • 4+ years of experience working with standard Broadband Access Transport Headend and Field Equipment
  • Experience in handling projects and driving outcomes
