KVC Kansas represents one of the strongest and broadest child welfare and behavioral healthcare continuums in the nation. We are responsible for the care of all children who are served by the Kansas Department for Children and Families in the Kansas City Metro and East Regions. KVC is seeking a Case Manager to provide direct services to children and families to help them reach their goal of reintegration. Due to the unique needs of the families we serve, this role does not have a predictable schedule. KVC staff have the flexibility to manage their own time to create a positive work-life balance, but there will be evening and weekend work required as well as significant travel time to visit families in their homes. The use of company fleet vehicles is available for company travel.



KVC’s clientele represent diverse backgrounds and KVC is seeking to enhance and expand our diversity in order to better serve our clients.



This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a field licensable by the KS BSRB. Applicants must also have a valid driver's license and auto insurance. Experience with children and families is preferred.



The duties and responsibilities of this position are as follows:



  • Assist in building a child welfare system that is safe, secure, and family centered.

  • Provide direct, in-home services to children and families to reunite children with their biological family

  • Lead case planning conferences with families using the strengths-based approach to assist clients in developing goals and objectives

  • Demonstrate superior organization and time management skills while also maintaining a professional work ethic

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all interactions with clients (computer skills are necessary to maintain documentation in KVC’s proprietary software)

  • Testify in court hearings and provide written updates to cases with court supervision
