ROLE SUMMARY

The Senior Product Manager, Product Data Syndication will create value from our unique, rich, and rapidly growing data, side by side with engineering, data science, marketing, product, UX and design leads for our product areas supporting our brand and retail websites. We expect you to drive strategy and product data syndication (PDS) best practices to create and execute data governance processes to syndicate product data across different channels, creating new opportunities for ELC to improve the consumer experience, simplify the employee experiences and amplify sales. This Senior Product Manager will be responsible for ensuring organization adoption of PDS as part of our product data management and enrichment strategies to supply quality data faster and from a single location.

This role will be responsible for designing the approach we take to synchronize product data across all ELC websites currently utilizing varying product information management systems (PIMs) and process as the organization moves towards building out and leveraging inriver as it's single centralized PIM. You will oversee governance of creating and maintaining consistent data definitions and mapping as it relates to product data across all ELC brand sites, third party retails sites and in store experiences. The Senior Product Manager is integral to ensuring our global eCommerce teams, brand and regional partners and third party retail affiliates have a shared vernacular for product data to ensure we provide consistent information across our sites to improve efficiency of our products and a consistent consumer experience.

Your mandate in particular will be to develop and implement a product vision and roadmap to deliver a best in class experience to our internal users and partners across channels and a consistent experience for our consumers. Deeply understand our users, their problems, where they find value, and consistently strive to improve the overall customer and employee experiences from start to finish. Thrive within ambiguity and find new, creative ways to solve problems every day, with data as your guide and drive the product roadmap of syndicated data and process capabilities across all aspects of the product lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the current analytics tools at ELC (Google Analytics / GA4) and their configuration.

  • Working closely with the product owners to help define the data approach for new site features, being able to help define the KPIs, determine if the datasets already exist or work to define the technical tagging approach.

  • Building out initial dashboards and reports to showcase the datasets for the product team. Help train and empower the product team and key partners on how to utilize the dashboards to help them to self-service for monitoring feature utilization, identify opportunities and issues, and to make data driven decisions when prioritizing their backlogs.
  • Define tracking requirements across digital projects and properties to ensure accurate and useful analytics tagging implementation, from start through launch, with emphasis on precision and QA.
  • Working to build the data layer for the tag management tool. working with tag management tools, and defining analytics data layers. (Tealium or Google Tag Manager)
  • Own daily report of analytics tracking anomalies, identifying & prioritizing bugs.
  • Maintain and refine ELC Online’s data analytics dictionary and solution design strategy for analytics, in collaboration with global analysts
  • Manage the global intake of all tickets, working with the Senior Product Owner for Global Analytics Implementation.
  • Show a strong understanding of other third-party marketing tools and how the Google Analytics tagging approach impacts them
  • Build out and execute the analytics roadmap, prioritizing features and initiatives. Look after multiple streams of work, from big-ticket projects that last months to quick tasks that will be complete in a week
  • Partner closely with analytics engineers across the globe to ensure there is a proficient and consistent understanding on how to implement and maintain the data layer across all existing and new sites.
  • Maintain an understanding of how privacy and government regulations will impact the approach to analytics, and maintain a forward-looking mindset towards adopting new technologies and features.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of in-depth digital analytics experience required, global cross-brand and large portfolio preferred

  • 3+ years of product management or related experience working on Web Analytics background, comfortable with building dashboards and educating key stakeholders as to how data has been implemented

  • Experience in implementing, configuring, and reporting with Google Analytics required.
  • Understanding of tag management solutions (such as Tealium, Signal, and Google Tag Manager). This includes creating solution designs, maintaining data dictionaries, documentation, implementation, configuration, and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of other insights & reporting tools, such as Looker and Voice of the Consumer (VOC), entry level SQL. Experience with A/B testing and Personalization analytics preferred
  • Strong hands-on quantitative, analytical, problem-solving skills with an advanced knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables and macros
  • Extremely proficient in analyzing and interpreting data, and able to synthesize information from a variety of sources and translate it into actionable recommendations in a concise manner
  • Commitment to learning new technology, techniques and processes
  • A proven track record of planning and shipping successful products - ideally with some experience building consumer products
  • A consumer-first orientation: you think about products from the end users’ perspective, and have experience with relevant tools, including running usability studies and qualitative user research
  • Technical know-how: While you need not be an engineer, you understand the technical implications of the product decisions you make.
  • Excellent communication skills: you communicate clearly and concisely, including with leadership, and can tailor your message to your audience
