Payroll Manager
LHH Recruitment Solutions is searching for a Payroll Manager in the Scottsdale, AZ. Our publicly-traded Fortune 500 company client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Manager to join their team.
Job Summary:
The Payroll Manager will be responsible for managing a team of payroll professionals and overseeing the full cycle payroll process for our company. This includes ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll, compliance with state and federal regulations, and maintaining accurate employee records. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll management and process improvement, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the payroll team, including performance management, coaching, and development
- Ensure the timely and accurate processing of payroll for all employees
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal payroll laws and regulations
- Review and approve payroll adjustments, bonuses, and other payroll-related transactions
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate employee data and seamless payroll processing
- Lead process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy of payroll processing
- Develop and maintain payroll policies and procedures
- Generate various reports and analyses related to payroll, including tax filings and year-end reporting
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related inquiries
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of experience managing a payroll team
- Full cycle payroll experience, including knowledge of federal and state payroll laws and regulations
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with payroll software and systems
- Process improvement background preferred
