Job Overview: This candidate will lead the process development efforts for mRNA therapeutics including analytically characterizing them and testing them in vitro and in vivo for preclinical studies. The candidate should be proficient in mRNA chemistry and mRNA biology workflows and wet lab techniques.
Responsibilities:
Lead the manufacturing team and guide the company’s mRNA manufacturing strategy
Establish and optimize our mRNA IVT manufacturing scale-up capability
Develop scalable strategies for downstream product purification
Synthesize and purify routine mRNA products for preclinical studies
Qualifications:
PhD/MS with 5+ years of academic or industry experience in nucleic acid manufacturing
Familiarity with nucleic acid purification and chemistry, enzyme kinetics, and analytical characterization of biomolecules
Experienced with a variety of analytical techniques would be preferred including: HPLC/UPLC, FPLC, MALDI-TOF MS, LC-MS/MS, NMR
The ideal candidate should be adaptable, enthusiastic about new challenges, has an innate curiosity, and a passion for learning
