- Leads production team work process, equipment testing, manufacturing, disassembly, and reassembly as assigned by supervisor.
- Prioritizes use of operators according to build schedule.
- Communicates process issues and provides status updates to team supervisor.
- Coaches operators/assemblers on production and problem solving skills, performing technical review and machinery setup/breakdown as needed.
- Ensures Medtronic company quality and safety standards are upheld.
- ensure necessary materials (raw materials, equipment, tooling, gauges, etc) are available at work cells at all times.
- Perform internal set-up on manufacturing equipment to ensure production meets required standard and complete other start/end of shift requirements in accordance with production/Quality requirements. Ensure equipment calibration is complete 100% on-time.
- Report progress of work cell to Management through maintaining and utilizing visual management systems daily. (Tier 1)
- Complete and email daily shift report prior to end of shift
- Performs direct labor duties when necessary.
- Schedule daily workflow and ensure all work completed meets all quality standards. Ensure scheduling includes time for machine maintenance.
- Enter and/or correct SAP transactions daily. Create and maintain material inventories.
- Ensure employees are qualified on their process for compliance (E-specs, P-Spec and GMP)
- Complete and submit Leader Standard Work on a daily basis (once created)
- Complete cycle counts 95% on-time.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Problem-solving skills
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- White or Green Belt training
